PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor and a method for manufacturing the capacitor wherein the working man hour can be reduced and the shape can be changed according to the arrangement space. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the capacitor, a plurality of capacitor elements 11 are aligned, flexible conductors 13, 14 are arranged on end surfaces 12, 15 of the plurality of capacitor elements 11, and metallized contact electrodes 21, 22 are formed on the end surfaces 12, 15. On the end surfaces 12, 15 of the capacitor elements 11, a forming process of the metallized contact electrodes 21, 22 and a connection process of the conductors 13, 14 can be performed simultaneously, so that the working man hour can be reduced. In the manufactured capacitor, various forms can be taken according to the arrangement space of capacitors in the arrangement of the respective capacitor elements 11, so that the latitude of the arrangement of the capacitors increases.
