PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a large sectional tunnel having a straight line section and a curved line section. SOLUTION: When the large sectional tunnel is constructed, a shield box body 3 and a plurality of propulsive pipes 4 are mutually and adjacently provided to construct a lining body. First of all, after the shield box body 3 has been installed by a shield boring machine 1, a shield outline 11 and a shield jack 12 are removed from the shield boring machine 1 to make it as a boring machine 2, and the propulsive pipes 4 are adjoined to each other to install while pushing out the boring machine 2 and the propulsive pipes 4 by a propulsive jack 5 to construct the lining body.
