PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily sinter inorganic powder formed body which is an external electrode material of a laminate ceramic electronic component, in a non-oxidizing atmosphere. SOLUTION: A gas outlet 12 is arranged at an in-furnace position in which the temperature profile in a baking furnace is not higher than the thermal decomposition temperature of binder resin, and a formed body containing at least Cu powder and binder resin is fed to the baking furnace by a belt conveyor 9. A non-oxidizing atmosphere is applied inside the baking furnace, the formed body is gradually heated to decompose the binder resin, and decomposition gas is forcibly exhausted outside from the gas outlet 12.
