<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the size of an evaporator for improving heat transport ability of a heat pump without damaging the pumping power due to capillary action of a wick. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of porous bodies functioning as wick is arranged inside an evaporating section container with at least part of the outer peripheral surface in contact with the inner surface of the evaporating section container and with being separated along the axial line. It is arranged crossing a space section 20 formed among the porous bodies and the porous bodies are communicated by a flow channel forming member 13 for communicating working fluid in the liquid phase. A steam flow channel 19 opening to both ends in the axial line of at least one of the porous bodies arranged near a connection section of a steam pipe of the plurality of porous bodies is formed, and a groove 14 from a point of connecting of the porous bodies to a point of not connecting of the porous bodies is formed on the inner surface of the evaporating section container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
