<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide user equipment, server and content distribution system in which unauthorized copying and unauthorized use of the contents are prevented while convenience for users is secured, and proper charging is made possible. <P>SOLUTION: User equipment 100 requests decoding information for decoding the encoded contents to a key generation server 201 in a server group 200 while selectively designating the reproducing conditions (decoding conditions) and receives the decoding processing information from the key generation server 201. On the basis of the decoding processing information, the encoded contents are decoded by a decoder 110. Besides, the key generation server 201 in the server group 200 receives the transmission request of the decoding processing information from the user equipment 100 and generates, on the basis of the reproducing conditions selected in the user equipment 100, the decoding processing information and transmits it to the user equipment 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
