PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the conventional problem that the contention of backup devices is not taken into consideration when a plurality of backup requests are simultaneously processed and the processing does not end within an estimated time or the later backup request ends abnormally and is not processed. SOLUTION: A backup controller constitutes a storage area network. A backup job definition means defines a plurality of inputted backup requests as the batch job of the relation of the number of used backup devices and time required for backup. A job registration means determines a job net in which the combination and execution order of executable backup requests obtained from the defined number of the used backup devices, time required for backup and usable backup devices are defined.
