PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caution light that increases safety at a gateway during an exit from a house to a road. SOLUTION: The gateway caution light 1 is installed in a suitable position of a gateway for the driver of a vehicle passing along a road to notice. A switch is mounted in a position off the gateway. A timer interlocked with the switch is also incorporated into the device in which the switch, when turned on, starts the timer and lights or blinks the gateway caution light 1. The lighting or blinking gateway caution light 1 enables the vehicle driver to take early safety measures. The switch may be a push-button switch 2, sensor switches 5 and 6, a remote-control switch, or a combination of them. A gateway floodlight 7 can provide illumination during an exit from the gateway in the night to enable the exiting person and vehicles to be noticed clearly.
