PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer capable of suppressing vehicle noises and cabin noises by significantly reducing draft noise/discharging noise level, and capable of realizing minimum pressure loss and high output. SOLUTION: This silencer 1A is constructed by opening an upstream side pipe 7 toward the inside of the silencer body 2, opening a downstream side pipe 8, and forming an opening portion 10 at a side wall of the downstream side pipe 8.
