PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a building material, which is excellent in absorption of electromagnetic noises generated from information related equipment such as personal computers, and suitable for a wall material, a partition, a cabinet, office furniture, a ceiling material, a floor material, etc. of an office building, an ordinary house, etc. SOLUTION: The resin composition for the building material is produced by mixing at least a plasticizer, and graphite and/or carbon black having a mean particle size of 30 to 0.01μm into polyvinyl chloride. The mixing ratio of the plasticizer to the total of polyvinyl chloride and the plasticizer is set to the range of 5 to 50 wt.%, and the mixing ratio of graphite and/or carbon black to the entire composition is set to the range of 5 to 40 wt.%.
