PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seamless knit product practically producible with a double knit circular knitting machine at a high speed and provide a method for the production of the knit product. SOLUTION: The front body 2 of the knit product 1 is formed from one of the 1st knit fabric 9 knit with a cylinder needle of a double knit circular knitting machine and the 2nd knit fabric 8 knit with a dial needle of the circular knitting machine and the back body 3 is formed of the other 2nd knit fabric 8 or the 1st knit fabric 9 by using a knitting yarn made of thermally crimping fibers. The joint part 23A of the front body 2 and the back body 3 along the outer contour of a prescribed product is composed of a joining knit fabric integrally knit with both of the cylinder needle and the dial needle and the joint part 23A is subjected to crimping treatment at least by heating.
