PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide framework structure for a building having high stiffness and high base isolating performance, and a brace fixture. SOLUTION: This framework structure 30 for the building is provided with left and right column members 31, 32, upper and lower horizontal members 33, 34 laid across the left and right column members 31, 32, and brace members 22, 22A, 22B for connecting the left and right column members 31, 32 to each other and the upper and lower horizontal members 33, 34 to each other. The brace members 22, 22A, 22B are formed of a flexible material bending to compressive force in the axis direction of the members, and the end parts of the brace members 22, 22A, 22B are mounted in a swingable manner to the column members 31, 32 or horizontal members 33, 34. The brace fixture 1 comprises a base plate part fixed to the column members 31, 32 or horizontal members 33, 34; a pair of side plate parts rising from both side edges of the base plate part to face each other; and a pivot part 21 provided to the side plate parts for supporting the end parts of the brace members 22, 22A, 22B in a swingable manner.
