PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water from being retained in a hole as cast in an electric power steering apparatus having the hole as cast formed at a flange of a brush holder sandwiched between a yoke of an electric motor and a housing. SOLUTION: The electric power steering apparatus 10 includes the flange 33A of the brush holder 33 of the electric motor 30, sandwiched between the yoke 36 of the electric motor 30 and the housing 11, and the holes 71A, 71B as cast formed at the flange 33A of the brush holder 33. The electric power steering apparatus 10 further includes communicating passages 74A, 74B provided at the flange 33A of the brush holder 33 to communicate the holes 71A, 71B as cast with the exterior.
