PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive circuit which drives a motor within its rating. SOLUTION: A voltage detection circuit 7 detects a voltage value supplied from a battery 1 to the motor drive circuit through a signal line 22. A calculation circuit 8 calculates a duty so as to switch an H level and an L level alternately corresponding to an excessive voltage when a voltage detection value from the voltage detection circuit 7 is in excess of rated voltage. An output control circuit 9 generates a control signal corresponding to a control command by the calculation circuit 8. A predriver 10 turns on/off a P channel MOS-FET 11 with the duty to output a drive signal turning off an N channel MOS-FET 12.
