PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow stepping motor reduced in the size of a digital camera reduced in size, for mounting a small-sized electronic camera in a portable information terminal (portable telephone terminal). SOLUTION: The hollow stepping motor 1 includes a hollow rotor 2 having an annular rotor magnet 3 alternately magnetized at S-poles and N-poles in a circumferential direction and a stator 4. The stator 4 is disposed so as to be partly intruded into an inner region from the outer peripheral surface of the rotor magnet 3 in a predetermined angular region radially spreading from the axis of the rotor magnet 3. Thus, the size of a profile is not increased, the size of the hollow stepping motor can be reduced, or the size of the electronic camera module which assembles the hollow stepping motor can be reduced.
