PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an iodo compound which is suitable for liposome-containing iodo contrast media for selectively contrasting lesions. SOLUTION: The iodo compound represented by formula (I) (Ar1Aand Ar2Aare each independently an aryl group having at least one iodine atom as a substituent; L1Aand L2Aare each independently a divalent linkage group whose main chain has seven or more atoms; XAis anα-amino acid residue whose nitrogen atom bound to theα-carbon is amide-bound to the left end carbonyl carbon of the group represented by the formula: -CO-L1A-Ar1A) or its salt.
