An open ended spinning rotor has a track bearing that is lubricated by grease fed from a cartridge with a ball discharge valve. The cartridge housing end face has an aperture for the rotor shaft. The housing cover operates as a radially and axially movable disc seal. The disc floats in the radial direction, while it is spring-supported in the axial direction. Axial motion is limited by the housing. The cartridge seal has a twist-lock. That side of the disc seal away from the grease chamber has a semi-hemispherical rotor shaft cover. |
