<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction gear mechanism easy to operate with a large capacity and a great reduction gear ratio. <P>SOLUTION: The reduction gear mechanism comprises an elliptic cam 11, a roller link 20 having contact with the outer periphery of the elliptic cam 11 via rollers 21, 21, and a guide plate 12 and internally toothed plates 13, 13. When the elliptic cam 11 is rotated, pins for the rollers 21, 21 of the roller link 20, being guided by both a guide hole 12f of the guide plate 12 and internal teeth 13a, 13a of the internally toothed plates 13, 13, are moved forward to and backward from toothed grooves of the internal teeth 13a, 13a to allow the guide plate 12 and the internally toothed plates 13, 13 to be relatively rotated in accordance with the number of pins of the roller link 20 and a difference in number between the internal teeth 13a, 13a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
