PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an ampoule cutting scratch to be formed easily and positively against an ampoule. SOLUTION: This ampoule cutter comprises a pin member 2 supported at a base 1 to cause a scratching acute end 20 to be stood on the circumferential surface of an ampoule AP put into an insertion hole 10 of the base 1 and enabled to slide between a forwarding position where a scratch is formed at the circumferential surface and its retracting position, a pair of back-up rolls 3, 3 rotatably supported at the base 1 in a state that their rotating axes arranged along a cylindrical axis direction of the ampoule AP, a biasing means 4 for always biasing the pin member 2 toward the forwarding position, and a releasing means 5 for moving the pin member 2 against the biasing action of the biasing means 4.
