<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a vehicle with an idle stop function capable of securely preventing reset and the interruption of electronic equipment caused by a voltage drop in accordance with engine restart. <P>SOLUTION: In this controller, a capacitor 20 for avoiding the reset of a navigation device 11 caused by a voltage drop in accordance with engine restart adopts control for inhibiting the operation of an idle stop function until it is charged sufficiently for covering the voltage drop of the navigation device 11.
