PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a fiber composite material having high strength by suppressing the shrinkage of the fibers of a preform in a method for manufacturing the fiber composite material by an RTM method and to prevent the preform from getting out of shape at the time of injection of a resin. SOLUTION: The surfaces of the flange parts 1b and 1c of the preform 10 arc pressed by a press plate 11 having pawl-shaped projections 11a on both sides thereof so as to apply tension to the surfaces of the flange parts 1b and 1c of the preform 10. The resin is introduced from a resin injection port 18 while applying tension to the flange parts 1b and 1c and injected from both sides of the lower flange part 1c pressed by the pawl-shaped projections 11a.
