PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to quickly reply to a reception mail while driving a vehicle. SOLUTION: This mobile electronic mail device is configured to automatically return a routine message in response to a reception mail under the driving of a vehicle, and to, when the reception mail is an emergency mail, notify the result to a user being a driver. Even when the user receives the reception mail while driving the vehicle, the user is able to quickly reply to the received electronic mail. The transfer or erasure of the reception mail is previously instructed so that the handling of the reception mail can be complied with the request of the user. Only when a portable telephone 13 is connected by a hands free mode deciding means 21, an automatic routine message is transmitted so that it is possible to prevent a situation that when the portable telephone 13 is not connected, the communication processing is tried by mistake.
