<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easily-visible display with small power consumption in a portable electronic device such as an electronic watch. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic watch 201 is shifted from a time display mode (refer to 2-A) to a data setting mode (refer to 2-B, 2-C) for performing time correction or the like by operation of an operation switch swB. When entering the data setting mode, a minute one-figure segment which is a correction object is displayed by a large font with high brightness, and other segments are displayed by a small font with low brightness (2-B), and thereby the correction object segment can be recognized easily. By operating an operation switch swC in this state, the segment of the correction object is changed in the order of a minute ten-figure segment, an hour one-figure segment and an hour ten-figure segment, and only the segment of each correction object is displayed by a large and highly-bright font. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
