PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information receiver which outputs received information using a suitable information form depending on users' circumstance or convenience. SOLUTION: Character information extractor 20 extracts additional character information contained in received information, and a sound information converter 21 converts the character information to sound information according to an information format changing system related to features of the additional character information determined by a sound information output format determining unit 22. The converted sound information are superposed on main information to output according to an output format related to the features of the additional character information determined by the sound information output format determining unit 22.
