<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter that can be reduced in the rate of the current change of a recovery current, suppressed in noise malfunction and improved in reliability further than that of a conventional one, and an electric machine system using the power converter. <P>SOLUTION: A function that holds a turn-off period of a drive signal of an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) longer than a prescribed period is arranged at a control part. By arranging the function that holds the turn-off period longer than the prescribed period, a decrease in excessive carrier concentration against an arm diode can be prevented. Thus, since the noise malfunction due to an increase in the rate of the change of the recovery current against the arm diode is prevented, safety can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
