<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle deceleration control device capable of suppressing the deterioration of operating feeling caused when a deceleration expected by a driver cannot be obtained by preventing such an erroneous recognition that an inter-vehicle distance control is operating despite the fact that the inter-vehicle distance control is under waiting, from being given to the driver. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle deceleration control device is provided with a laser radar sensor 7 detecting an inter-vehicle distance thereof from a preceding vehicle and the relative speed thereof to the preceding vehicle, a control valve 6 regulating the state of the transmission of hydraulic pressure, an ECU (execution control unit) 1 performing the inter-vehicle distance control by controlling the control valve 6 based on the inter-vehicle distance and the relative speed. The ECU1 performs the deceleration control for decelerating the vehicle by controlling the control valve 6 under specified conditions when the depressing of an accelerator pedal is released, and stops the deceleration control when the inter-vehicle distance control is in a waiting state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
