<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a choking effect with a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: The first and second steps of an operation angle of an arm 15 in its push-up direction are constituted to become the on-event of second choking and when there is the on (or off) event of the second choking, PUP←PUP 2 (or PUP 1) is set. When chocking in the absence of the on/off events of the second choking, there is the data of a sound production instruction pitch PIT(ch) and the PIT(ch) is updated with PIT(ch)←PIT(ch)xPUP relating to the "specific channel" corresponding to the pitch under fret-on. The musical tones of the pitch corresponding to the present value of the PIT(ch) are produced.
