<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing original plate having a protective layer formed on a photosensitive layer and having excellent sensitivity and scratch resistance, with the protective layer easily removed, and in particular, to provide a lithographic printing original plate suitable for direct drawing with IR laser light. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate comprises a photosensitive layer containing an IR absorbent, a polymerization initiator, a polymerizable compound, and a binder polymer, and a protective layer, successively layered on a supporting body.
