<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new medium for culturing animal cells, given from a conception which is fundamentally different from those of conventional technology, and to provide a method for culturing the animal cells, by utilizing the medium. <P>SOLUTION: This method for culturing the animal cells comprises using the medium for culturing the animal cells which contains cystatin, or one or more members belonging to its superfamily, instead of conventionally used media for culturing the animal cells during all the period from beginning of culturing the animal cells to end thereof or a part of the period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
