PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire equipped with a bead durability by securing sufficiently the rubber thickness of a clinch rubber in the region of a clinch part. SOLUTION: The bead apex rubber 11 before being vulcanized is formed from a central region 11C having an approximately constant thickness T in the tire axial direction, an outer taper region 11U continued to the outer end C1 of the central region 11C with the thickness T decreasing gradually outward in the radial direction, and an inner taper region 11L continued to the inner end C2 of the central region 11C with the thickness T increasing gradually inward in the radial direction. The thickness Tc of the central region 11C is equal to or below 50 % of the thickness Ta at the bottom surface S, and the radial direction length Hc of the central region 11C is made 20-50 % of the apex height H0.
