PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely cut a sheet of a material such as a glass sheet. SOLUTION: In a method for cutting the sheet, with a pseudo member arranged to adhere to a surface where the cutting blade of a rotary cutting means and the end surface of a member to be cut intersect, the member and the pseudo member are cut in turn. In the vicinity of the end surface, a cut state substantially similar to that of the inside of the member is formed, and displacement from a datum line can be reduced as compared with the case in which the pseudo member is not arranged to adhere to the end surface. In a unit flat-panel type indication device with the end surface cut by the cutting method, since all surfaces are precisely positioned, the unit flat-panel type indication device having the end surface exactly positioned to display pixels can be obtained. In a large-sized flat panel display device with numbers of the unit flat-panel type indication devices arranged, the flat panel display device excellent in characteristics which can not visually inspect the reflection of light in the boundary part of each unit flat-panel type indication device etc., can be provided.
