The frog (1) linked to connecting rails, for railway direction change points, has a block-type base body (2) and a frog point (3) with two point pieces (4,5) and a spring movement. The base body has at least one connection block (14,15), with an outer connecting zone (16) at a connecting rail and an inner connecting zone (17) for a point piece. A movement guide flank zone (18) is at the connection block, between the outer and inner connecting zones, to give a spatial uncoupling between the connecting rail and the point piece. The body is in one piece, formed by machining or casting, with a V-shaped holder (19) for the point pieces.
