The present invention refers to a method for forging metallic pieces used in electrical fuses. The electrical fuse cartridge comprises case or cover pieces adapted to be screwed to an element having a thread or joint for housing a cartridge fuse and two terminals. The method consists of: cutting the metallic brass bar into small pieces, then heat them up to a temperature that allows their deformation or forging under pressure for the manufacture of cartridges or covers; and machining as well as shaping in a single step the element or joint having a thread or joint where said cartridges or covers are screwed. This method permits a material saving and diminishes the manufacturing steps or stages of the cartridges or covers, as well as those elements or joints having a string.
