<p>Method for operating a packing and transport system comprises sterilization of contaminated articles in a contaminated but microbe-impermeable, gas permeable packing. The package is then, optionally after removing part of it, re-sterilized in a transport tube (11) and fed to a clean room (9). An independent claim is included for recontamination-free feeding of syringes, optionally fitted with needles, into a clean room for filling and sealing. This comprises fitting microbe-impermeable, gas permeable lids (7) on sterilized tubs (1) containing the needles and enclosing them in a microbe-impermeable, gas permeable wrapping. This is then removed and the outsides of the tubs and lids re-sterilized in a transport tube. Re-sterilization is carried out by feeding a hydrogen peroxide/water vapor mixture into the evacuated tube so that it condenses in a layer on the outside (10) of the sealed tubs. It is then removed by a second evacuation step, so that neither vapor mixture nor condensate can reach the syringes in inadmissible amounts.</p> |
