A friction-driven elevator (1) has a lift cabin (2) which rises along guide rails (3) within a elevator shaft (14) balanced by a counter weight (4) running along a guide rail (5). The drive motor (6) has a shaft (9) with two bearings and a friction drive wheel (10) for the cabin (2). The motor is held in a supporting frame with a foot. In the operating position the frame esp. has a vertical flange attached to the motor housing, and a first bearing for the motor shaft. The friction wheel and motor rotor are linked by the same shaft. The second bearing in the motor housing is separated from the from the flange by a gap. |
