The chair is equipped with a seat carrying construction (5) assembled of a swivel mounted (8) front (6) and rear part (7). The seat (10) can be adjusted regarding its level of inclination with a rotating handle. The handle is joined with a coupling element (76, 78, 79), designed as a bevel gear unit, to the control device (36) resulting of the axles of the handle and the control device (75) forming an angle. The handle can be easily accessed in a seated position.
