<p>The signal processing device (110) for converting mono-signals (200) into at least one output stereo signal (234) comprises direction filters (208, 210), distance filters (214, 216) and mixer filters (222, 224) for the left and right stereo signals (204, 206), as well as direction parameters (212) for the direction filters, distance parameters (218) for the distance filters and mixer parameters (220) for the mixer filters. The signal processing device is regulated via an input control signal (232) for regulating the direction, distance and mixer parameters. An independent claim is also included for a method for generating 3D sound using this system, comprising the following steps: (a) dividing the mono-signal into a left signal in a left filter and a right signal in a right filter; (b) filtering the left and right signals in direction filters using direction parameters; (c) filtering the left and right signals in distance filters using distance parameters; and (d) mixing the left and right signals in mixer filters using mixer parameters.</p> |
