PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for manufacturing pig iron and/or pig iron product by melting metal contained charging materials in a melting unit, additionally forming an operating gas, particularly at least partially reduced gas in the melting unit and extracting the operating gas are provided. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a melting unit(1) for melting charging materials so that an operating gas, particularly at least partially reduced operating gas is additionally produced in the melting unit; and a device(8) for air transferring at least partially reduced metal contained materials particularly formed in a particulate shape, wherein the device(8) is at least partially operated by the operating gas produced in the melting unit, wherein the apparatus further comprises at least one or more of lines(7) for transferring the operating gas from the melting unit to the material transferring device(8), wherein the apparatus further comprises a treatment reactor(12) for at least partially reducing and/or preheating metal contained charging materials particularly formed in a particulate shape, and the transfer device(8) is connected to the treatment reactor to properly transfer the treated charging materials, wherein a device(9) for transferring the treated charging materials is connected to the melting unit and the other device for treating the charging materials, wherein an intermediate container for removing the charging materials discharged from the treatment reactor by the operating gas produced in the melting unit, particularly a fluidized bed lock(10) is installed under the treatment reactor, and wherein the apparatus further comprises a gas/solid separator in which the operating gas is removed particularly from the intermediate container and separated from the materials transferred by the transfer device.
