PURPOSE: A transaction card having a display for showing information on a face par and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to allow a user to check face par before using the card in making purchases of goods and/or services and to scratch a coating formed on a predetermined display portion of the card to display the amount of money paid whenever the card is used. CONSTITUTION: The transaction card(1) having a predetermined shape comprises: a display portion(10) configured to display the balance on a predetermined portion of one surface of the card(1); and a coating(20) formed on the display portion(10) to be scratched by a user and having a digit display portion(30), by which the user is allowed to identify the balance without being processed with a card reader whenever a purchase is made.
