PURPOSE: An optical disk drive having a disk rack is provided to comprise a disk rack where an optical disk is loaded, and to reduce a width in accordance with an entrance direction of the optical disk. CONSTITUTION: A casing(11) forms a receiving space inside. A disk rack(21) is disposed so as to rise/fall in an inner rear area of the casing(11), and loads an inserted optical disk(15) in layer shape. A sled base(31) is slidingly disposed along front/rear directions inside the casing(11) to change the optical disk(15). A turn table(41) is disposed on the sled base(31). A pickup(53) moves along a radius direction of the optical disk(15) set at the turn table(41). A lead screw(43) is disposed along right/left directions of the casing(11) to transfer the pickup(53) according to the radius direction of the disk(15). A guide bar(51) is located abreast the lead screw(43). A pickup transfer motor(47) rotatively drives the lead screw(43).
