DISPLAY DEVICE WITH AN ACTIVE MATRIX TYPE OF A DOT SEQUENTIAL DRIVING MODE AND A PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A display device with an active matrix type of a dot sequential driving mode and a projection display device are provided to prevent that the phase of output potential change is changed and display an image with high accuracy although a horizontal scanner is operated in a certain scan direction. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pixels are disposed as a matrix type in a pixel part(21). A signal line is wired per pixel in the pixel part. A monitor line is held as the first electric potential. A control circuit(26) generates a clock signal and an inverse clock signal which have an inverse phase each other, monitors the potential change of the monitor line, and corrects the generation timing of the clock signal and the inverse clock signal on the basis of the change of the timing of the corresponding potential change.
