PURPOSE: A switching device for a vacuum cleaner is provided to reduce the number of parts and improve productivity by controlling the power supply and output of the vacuum cleaner with one knob. CONSTITUTION: A switching device for a vacuum cleaner is composed of a cap(110), a knob(120) having a coupling groove(122) coupled to the cap and a switching shaft(126), a handle(130) coupled to an upper cover(100) and having a space(132) on which the knob is rotatably supported, a volume switch(140) installed at the upper cover, and a power switch(150) installed at the upper cover. The volume switch has a coupling hole(142) coupled to the switching shaft, and switches on/off according to the rotation of the switching shaft. The power switching switches on/off when the switching shaft is pushed.
