GATE DRIVING DEVICE OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, PARTICULARLY IN RELATION TO REDUCING THE NUMBER OF GATE DRIVING ICS AND TCPS

PURPOSE: A gate driving device of an LCD panel is provided to comprise built-in shift registers in one gate driving IC and an LCD panel, and to drive gate lines. CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel(22) has a pixel matrix. A gate driving portion includes plural built-in shift registers(28) and an outer gate driving IC(24) in order to drive gate lines(GL1-GLn) of the LCD panel(22). Data driving ICs(30) drive data lines(DL1-DLm) of the LCD panel(22). The LCD panel(22) has the pixel matrix consisting of pixels formed in every area defined by crossing the gate lines(GL) with the data lines(DL). Each of the pixels is composed of a liquid crystal cell for controlling optical transmissivity and a TFT for driving the liquid crystal cell.
