PURPOSE: A cutting device for digging a ditch in the ground is provided to variously apply the cutting device, to secure a cutting wheel with high capacity in both rotational directions, and to prevent the excessive abrasion of cutting elements. CONSTITUTION: A cutting device for digging a ditch in the ground is composed of at least one cutting wheel(12,12') driven by a rotation method; at least a first cutting element(16) positioned on the cutting wheel to remove the soil while the cutting wheel rotates in the first rotational direction; and at least a second cutting element(18) arranged on the cutting wheel to remove the soil in the second rotational direction opposite to the first rotational direction. At least one of the cutting elements is replaceably mounted between a first position for removing the soil and a contracted second position. A control unit replaces the cutting elements between the first and second positions.
