PURPOSE: A method for converting a caller presentation number is provided to guarantee accuracy of a caller number by analyzing the caller number and converting it into a call number suitable for an origination regulation. CONSTITUTION: If the number of digits of a received caller number is not larger than 10, it is determined whether the number of digits of the caller number is equal to or larger than 9(S21). If the number of digits of the caller number is smaller than 9, it is checked whether the number of digits is 8(S25). If the number of digits of the caller number is 8, it is determined whether the first one digit of the caller number is 2(S26). If the first one digit is 2, it is determined whether a local number of a receiver is 2(S27). If the number of the receiver uses 2, it is determined whether the first four digits of the caller number is 2200-2299 or 2600-2649(S28). If the first four digits of the caller number is 2200-2299 or 2600-2649, the received caller number is set as a number available for re-origination(S29).
