PURPOSE: A device and a method for managing a liquid crystal substrate are provided to reconfirm defect, rejudge a panel or the substrate, and increase the accuracy of judgement in the liquid crystal substrate. CONSTITUTION: A data management part(6) has a database(6a) which stores defective information obtained from a liquid crystal inspection device(4) and image information including defect repaired information and repair information obtained from a liquid crystal repair device(5). The data management part reconfirms defect, and rejudges at least one of a panel and a substrate on the basis of defective information, image information and repair information stored in the database.
