PURPOSE: A hardboard having stone-like tone and texture and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to be useful as output media dedicated to an inkjet printer and interior wall materials by offering various advantageous properties, including color visuality, splendid colors, capability of representing accurately shaped images, crack resistance, durability, weatherability, and the like, and to realize visually attractive and artistic effects. CONSTITUTION: The hardboard comprises: a base layer made of a hard material having a thickness of 0.5 to 20 mm; forming a mixed material layer A and processing the same, the mixed material layer A being prepared by curing a mixture of an adhesive agent and various minerals, including stone, quartz, mica, feldspar and calcium carbonate having irregular particle diameters in a range of 0.1 to 2 mm; forming a mixed material layer B and processing the same, the mixed material layer B being prepared by applying a white, gel-state mixture including glue and pigment powder to the surface of the mixed material layer A to be coated thereon; forming a polishing layer prepared by processing the surface of the mixed material layer B; and forming an ink absorption layer.
