PURPOSE: A method for effectively and easily manufacturing an electronic imaging system, and an electronic imaging system thereof are provided to convert a plurality of color images into first-dimensional images, and reduce the cost for an imaging sensor. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of color areas(14,18,22) are formed in a substrate(10) for detecting light in specific colors. A plurality of prisms(26,30,34) are formed on the plurality of color areas for transmitting different colors. Each prism includes a material having relatively high index of refraction. The first prism transmits blue light to the first color area. The second prism transmits green light to the second color area. The third prism transmits red light to the third color area.
