PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal blower capable of reducing noise without reducing blowing capacity. SOLUTION: The centrifugal blower comprises a centrifugal fan 1 that rotates about a vertically extending rotating shaft 4 and blows air sucked from the rotating shaft 4 direction to the radially outward direction and a scroll casing 3 for storing the centrifugal fan 1. The scroll casing 3 has a casing body 10 having an air inlet 13 in the top wall 12 and a spiral air channel 17 around the centrifugal fan 1, and a cylindrical delivery section 11 that projects from the outer periphery of the casing body 10, communicates with the air channel 17, and forms a tongue section 19 between it and the casing body 10. The proximity of the tongue section 19 in the air channel 17 is provided with a flow adjusting rib 21 for guiding the air going to flow backward from the gap between the upper end of the centrifugal fan 1 and the scroll casing 3 to the air inlet 13 in the air blowing direction.
