<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a job operational state notification system and a job operational state notification method which enable the side of a host computer to accurately know the operational state and operation completion of an image input/output device, and also to provide storage medium stored with a program for realizing the method. <P>SOLUTION: When there is a job request from a host computer 11, in a core part 10 of the image input/output device (a copy machine of a compound function or the like), a job ID that is unique to each job related to the job request, is generated.
