<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint mechanism of a hanger rod for ceiling boards which can easily joint, improves the production efficiency of the hanger rods, reduces the production cost, and realizes enhancement of strength improvement. <P>SOLUTION: First, a longitudinally long insertion hole 10 is formed at the side face of the main board part 4 of a hanging rod 1 for one ceiling board and a base board part 21 with which the end edge is brought into contact with the side face of the main board part 4 of one hanging rod 1 is protruded and a connection protrusion 22 is projected forward from the base board part 21. Further, a U-shaped rise part 24 is formed in the connection protrusion 22. A reinforcing bulging part 31 is formed to improve the strength in the rize part 24 and the connection protrusion 22 is pressed in the insertion hole 10, the connection protrusion 22 is connected inseparably from the insertion hole 10. Such constitution does not require skillful technique and by forming a U-shaped rise part 24 and caulking it, no preprocessing of bending processing or the like is required.
